The About VMware Tools dialog displays information about the currently installed version. It is not installed by default and are not required for the guest OS functionality, but offers many benefits, including: optimized NIC drivers. This means you can only use the VM power options to perform a hard power off or power on of the virtual machine from the toolbar.
Possible solutions: control if VMware Tools are running on vCenter in the VM summary tab or directly on VM console through by the command service vmware-tools status. If the tools are stopped, reboot VM or launch the command service vmware-tools start on VM console. Select the menu command to mount the VMware Tools virtual disc on the guest operating system. Installing VMware Workstation Log in to the Windows host system as the Administrator user or as a user who is a member of the local Administrators group.
Open the folder where the VMware Workstation installer was downloaded. Right-click the installer and click Run as Administrator.

To get all this with other functions for optimum performance we have to install VMware Tools on each guest operating system we are running. Here we know how to set it up for Windows 11 VM. The steps given here will be the same for all Windows versions running on VMware-free Workstation player software.
On your VMware player, select and start the virtual machine created for Win 11 or 10 operating systems. Once the virtual machine is started, click on the Player drop-down menu available on the top left side on VMware Player. Now, click on the Folder icon given on the Taskbar that in return will open File Explorer.
As you double click on the CDFS, this will run an installer asking for rights to run the setup as an Administrator. Select the YES button to give your permission.
